September 5, 2019: During the afternoon session of the Capability Building Workshop on Competitive Selection Process (CSP) for Distribution Utilities, presentations from representatives of DUs were able to share their experiences on the process of CSP.
One of the presenters is Corporate Planning Manager and Third-Party Bids and Awards Committee (TPBAC) Technical Working Group (TWG) Chairman, Charles Roy B. Olinares representing On-Grid Distribution Utilities as ISELCO II is the first DU to conduct CSP in the Region.
Likewise, a representative of the Tablas Island Electric Cooperative, Inc (TIELCO) and one of the Off-Grid Distribution Utilities shared their own experience too.
After the two presentations, Open Forum followed and several participants aired their concerns as regards this matter. Questions were answered by DOE Representative Mario Marasigan and Atty. Myra Roa, NEA Representative Ralph Freyra alongside the two representatives of the DUs who presented experience on the CSP process.
